Introduction

A hand of Holdem starts with accepting or rejecting those hole cards you are dealt. The best players gain a large advantage by discarding many of their lesser holdings before the flop.

The major down-side to this is that you get far less "action" because you're watching a lot of hands play on without you. Stay disciplined!

The starting hand recommendations are based on playing at a full low limit or loose table versus eight or nine players. Tips for tighter tables and smaller tables are included here.
